Palais de Festivals - Cannes
I’m here at the 2010 Cannes Lions International Advertising festival where Microsoft Advertising is playing a lead role in events and activities across the board. One of these is a workshop that takes a look at where television and TV advertising may be headed. It’s called “The Rise of Rich TV: Bringing It All Into Focus,” and will include amazing guest speakers from Nielsen, Navic/Admira, ComScore, and EmSense, each of whom will share new evidence of how TV is evolving to become more rich, interactive and accountable.
Rich TV and its attributes is a topic I’ve blogged about often in this space. At this workshop, our audience of advertisers, marketers and creatives will get their turn to predict the future of TV—and we’ll select a few of these predictions to share with everyone. There will also be a chance for an audience member to play Kinect, which is the ultimate expression of Rich TV. It promises to be a fun, interactive event where we can bring some clarity to the chaotic landscape that is television today.
If you’re attending Cannes this year, I hope you’ll make time to join our session. And for everyone else, I would love to know what you think about where TV is headed: please post your predictions as a comment to this post.
