Three Microsoft Solutions Named IAB MIXX Finalists

The Interactive Advertising Bureau announced their 2012 IAB MIXX Finalists and we’re pleased to announce that three solutions from Microsoft were named as finalists. They include:

  1. Alfa Romeo and LIQID for their fantastic use of the IAB Filmstrip in the Standard Rich Media Display Ad category
  2. Toyota’s Your Dungeon My Dragon campaign in the Games category
  3. And the Chevrolet Route 66 solution in the Brand Destination Site category

Alfa Romeo and LIQID for “Alfa Romeo Giulietta Launch – IAB Filmstrip”

 

Each of the campaigns was not only beautiful, but they each drove concrete results for the business.

For example, the Alfa Romeo ad wasn’t just a winner with the IAB, users on MSN Italia became fans as well:

  • 60% of users who interacted with the ad watched the video on the fifth panel right to the end
  • 9% of unique users who watched the video then clicked through to the Giulietta microsite
  • Seven minute average ad exposure, 500% longer than the average rich media execution on MSN Homepage for PC

The Your Dungeon My Dragon site for the Toyota Yaris also experienced great results. Respondents that visited the site on any platform were:

  • 73% more likely to rate the brand favorably
  • 47% more likely to consider purchasing the Yaris
  • 59% more likely to recommend the brand
  • And, maybe most impressive, four out of five visitors engaged with the content and 22% told a friend or family member about the campaign

Last, but not least, the Route 66 campaign for Chevrolet was a resounding success, which blew past forecasts and expectations:

  • Chevrolet branded short-film videos were viewed over 44M times
  • In only five weeks, the campaign microsite experienced over 1.5M unique visitors, 1.9M page views and over 45,000 shares of the video
  • And the campaign was able to improve brand metrics including a 9 % increase in brand favorability and a 10% increase for brand consideration
