For some time now we’ve been giving you updates about the inspiring digital campaigns retail advertisers have been launching with Microsoft Advertising.  And this is certainly the case with one of our most valued retail clients; Sainsbury’s who through their partnership with Microsoft and MSN Food, are launching a new and highly innovative tool.

Sainsbury’s are actively engaging with their community to build loyalty and drive customer conversion.  They have demonstrated this by increasing their brand favourability - up 14% points with an integrated content solution.

Last week Microsoft Advertising UK launched the Sainsbury’s Make the Most of Your Roast Planner Tool: http://food.uk.msn.com/sainsburys/roast-planner.  This, like much of the Sainsbury’s activity, is designed to help people through their lives; in particular to conquer the mysteries of timing their meals and making the most of their left-over food.  Offering true utility to consumers and helping them to literally Live Well for Less.

Sitting within the Sainsbury’s and Food Channels,  the custom solution offers 8 main recipes to cook, 8 additional side recipes and a mouth-watering 24 left-over recipes to download and share.

This initiative is in response to the fact that the average British family wastes a staggering 5.8 kg of meat, potatoes and vegetables, equating to 1.8 billion Sunday roast meals each year and reflective of a growing desire for tools and features from brands and agencies to distinguish their campaigns and deliver real value to users.  Find out more on the Sainsbury’s website.

This is a never been done before browser-based tool running across MSN, Facebook and the Sainsbury’s site!

So give it a go!  Make the Most of Your Roast with Sainsbury’s: http://food.uk.msn.com/sainsburys/roast-planner
